Sunday and Fun Day
Sunday we wanted to go to church in the morning, but didn't wake up in time. So we decided to take a day off from the site seeing. We just laid by the pool and enjoyed the beautiful weather. We stayed in the shade, sat in the hot tub, and all came and went as we needed. I went back when I remembered my cacoa seeds were fermenting for over a week! I hurried back and roasted them in the oven. I'm taking them back to Springfield that way so I hope they last!!
Denali and I went to together and as soon as we got out she was begging to drive. I knew as soon as I let her, she wouldn't give it back, but she did a great job and had lots of fun. She didn't want to stop when our time was up!
After that, I made tuna fish sandwiches and the girls ate it all before Kinley got any so I made the rest of the 4 cans up.
Then I made a graham cracker crust and Adam made a cheesecake with liloquoi in it, it was sooo good! We ate it after our porkchops and lemon pasta dinner and everyone wanted a second piece, but we saved the last 2 for Breyden and Jennie.
Hydee slept most of the day. She said she had had enough of the sun and was grateful for a day off.
Kinley and Brin got dressed up and went to the beach for a photo shoot. Later Hydee and Denali walked to the beach for sunset and they all came home together. It was a lovely sabbath day.
This is the only picture I took all day, and it was for Paxton.
Monday was our fun day!! We all got ready for the beach, but everyone was told they needed to put their hair back. The girls had commented the other day on the beach that they wanted to jet ski when they saw some skis out in the ocean. Breyden and Jennie knew a guy, and we were able to go out for an hour.
The girls were so surprised! Breyden finally experienced the fun of our trips. When Adam plans them with one of the girls each year, no one knows what we are doing or where we are going. It can be frustrating not knowing what to prepare for, but it's kind of fun.
Breyden loved hearing the girls squeal with excitement when they saw the jet ski umbrellas.
We had to ride a dingy out to a floating dock where they kept the jet skis. Then we signed waivers and had the tutorials. We were instructed to drive around the dock 3 times so they could take pictures. They were so good, the background almost looks fake!
Breyden and Jennie hit it hard immediately, and spent quite a bit of time in the water and laughing their heads off.
Adam and Kinley went together and Kinley ended up driving most of the time. She was spinning circles etc. and I had to steer Nali away from them when she saw the waves they were making.
Brin and Hydee were flat out nuts! They were full throttle the whole time! Every time I saw them they were flying past us! They also spent some time in the water.
Overall, it was a blast! Breyden had actually never done jet skis before and managed to hit his buddy up on the last day of their season. They were closing up for whale season.Later that night, after eveyone had time for a nap, we went to the Ritz Carlton and saw the christmas lights and sat in the hot tub since the one at our condo went on the fritz on Sunday. After jet skiing, we needed a soak, but it didn’t do much good. We were going to be sore the next day no matter what we did!
