Maui - Sunday Drive

Breyden and Jennie showed up right after breakfast and we all eight of us loaded into the truck. Our end goal was to swim in some tide pools. We had a few stops along the way.
The girls piled in the back and had to wrap up when we drove through  a few rain showers.
Our first stop was one of Adam's and my favorite places from our February trip. The jungle is so pretty and the walk through it to the beach was full of flowers and chickens.
The second stop was to a beach with big, crashing waves. Everone walked to the water and stopped in this line.  Jennie found a big swing and another photo shoot commenced.
We were working our way up the beach and had to 4wd down to closer views. The girls enjoyed that from the back of the truck. But the views were totally worth it!
The waves seemed to be getting bigger as the day went on. We stopped at a blowhole which was really showing off for us.
We finally made it to the tide pools. It was another local secret that required crossing a gate. The path was pretty overgrown with cacti and we wrapped our towels around us to keep from getting too scratched up.
Unfortunately, the waves were so big that it was too dangerous to swim.  It was a beautiful view that we were able to enjoy alone though.
We headed back to the condo to swim in the pool and sit in the hot tub. Breyden and Jennie left for dinner plans and we chilled, put up our christmas lights and enjoyed the evening on our porch.
