We all slept in on our last day in Hawaii. Breyden got the fever and body aches that Brin and Kinley had so we didn't see him all day. We decided to go to the ABC store in Whalers Village to get souvenirs and watch the sunset at Kaanapali beach.
As the girls watched the sunset in their new Maui hoodies, we took lots of pictures and they shed a few tears. None of us want to leave. We especially are not ready for the cold.
All the displaced people of Lahaina have set up tents on Kaanapali beach so it is a really touchy subject having it open up to tourists again. Seeing all the flags waving in the wind was so heart breaking!
After the sunset, we met Breyden and Jennie at the food trucks for dinner. I had a mahi sandwich, Kinley, Brin and Hydee got sushi. Adam and nali shared an orange chicken. I wanted malasadas, but they ran out! We finally said goodnight and headed home to pack up.
