Family Vacation 2023 - Day 1 Pagosa Springs

Day 1 was delayed a day due to the well pump going out suddenly. This resulted in 2 miserable days in the 30 degree temps digging out the well and replacing parts. Adam is learning so much and becoming even more handy. The beginning of October he added 13 new sites including pedastals and water connections, 2 extra roads and truck after truckload of gravel, building firepits and picnic tables.  

October 30th was Ava's 8th birthday and she chose to get baptized.  So I had to plan and organize it with the 2nd ward elders, create a program, speakers, refreshments (which because we were having birthday cake afterwards, Ava chose pudding cups), and get a dress and pictures.

So,  we left at 8pm Nov 3 instead of early November 2.

I personally was grateful for the extra days to pack my house up as we have Jenessa and Ava watching the dogs and Kaleb and his mom living in the lodge watching Ava. I had to pack all the food in my kitchen and clean out cupboards etc.

 Originally we would have stayed at a hotel and drove 2 days,  but ended driving through the night to Pagosa Springs Colorado!

We just pulled in! More to come...
