El Segundo, CA and Family

We were fortunate to plan our trip so that we could be in California for Jennie and Breyden's Engagement party. It was at Jennie's parents home in El Segundo, about 2 hours from San Diego.
We left Hydee in San Diego and made the drive up.  Everything was planned around it raining, but the weather cleared enough that we were able to be outside. We arrived a little before 3:30pm when it started and left after 10 pm. We got to meet her parents and sister (who it turns out is Tate's swim coach in Draper UT!) and her boyfriend. Then we met Jeff's (Jennie's dad) two sisters and brother. All of Jennie's childhood friends came and some of the family friends. After a few hours drinking, everyone was fawning over Nali and Brin. Denali was so social and sweet. Brin stayed close to Breyden and was surprisingly social as well.
One lady, Dawn, wanted to take the girls home with her.  There was lots of hugging and laughing.
They had a taco truck set up and cook all the food in the backyard. They were so good.
One of the funniest things was when Jennie's mom Karen came up to us and said "Adam just put veggies on his tacos!!" He was first in line, but actually cut in, so I went back a few people with the girls. When she said that,  I realized he must have made me a plate. I told her it must be for me,  and a minute later Denali came over and said, "Dad said to come get your food." We all laughed so hard!
There was live music and singing. It was a good party over all. Toward the end of the night,  they did a group photo which is a family tradition. Then Jeff printed them and handed them out in picture holders as party favors.
