Happy Thanksgiving!
Breyden picked us up after a much needed long night's sleep. We loaded up and headed to Makena Big Beach or as the locals call it Breakneck Beach.
Everyone swam and snorkeled. Denali is literally a fish! Jennie parked the cars with Adam and when she got to our spot she threw off her clothes and ran to the water. We could hear yell, "Oh Yeah!" Breyden hurried to catch up.
I stayed back and enjoyed the beach.
The lifeguard got on the mic several times warning people about the strong waves and undertow. It was not a beach for beginners. Hydee took a tumble right away and swallowed a gallon of seawater. She scraped her knee up a bit and had to recover. She went back out and tried her hand at snorkeling. She's been brave for a first timer, she is getting the hang of it.
As eveyone tired out and it got later, we were getting hungry for Thanksgiving dinner. The girls played a little frisbee and Breyden and Jennie went for a walk while drying out.
We finally went back to the condo and got dinner ready. I had put everything in the oven on 170 to warm while we were gone so I hurried to make the stuffing and gravy and Adam made the fruit salad while Kinley mixed the Costco caesar salad. I bought a pre cooked turkey breast and a ham, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie. It turned out so good, I'm thinking this is a new tradition.
